Differences between the Akeneo PIM editions
What is the distinction between Community, Growth and Enterprise Edition?
Akeneo PIM has no less than three editions: the Community, Growth and Enterprise Edition. All three have their own specific advantages. Which PIM solution is most suitable for an organization depends on the size of the organization and, of course, its ambitions for the future. XSARUS has realized several Akeneo implementations over the years, including at Lucardi, the largest jewelry chain in the Netherlands.
All Akeneo PIM editions include a number of standard functionalities. Collection of raw product data, from Excel files to an ERP, takes place in one central location. Managing and structuring product catalogs creates a single source of truth around product information. All this data can be enriched with text, images, videos, documents and translations for specific distribution channels or countries. Finally, the latest product information is easily shared to all sales channels to provide customers with the most complete product experience possible.
Community Edition
The Akeneo Community Edition is the free Open Source (on-prem) variant, which supports taking a first step within the PIM domain. Using the Community Edition creates control over the large and often confusing amount of product information. Ensure consistency in product data, monitor the degree of completeness of products and make sure that only the most complete product information ends up on the webshop, marketplace or in the catalog.
Growth Edition
The Akeneo Growth Edition is the next step: a SaaS solution based on a licensing structure. The Growth Edition scales with an organization as it grows and helps exploit its growth potential. With the Growth Edition comes secure Cloud hosting, without having to manually perform updates or upgrades yourself. There is also immediate access to the latest features within Akeneo that are regularly released and Akeneo Syndication is an optional add-on.
Enterprise Edition
As a SaaS/PaaS solution, the Akeneo Enterprise Edition is the most comprehensive version, also based on a license structure and hassle-free, secure Cloud hosting. The Enterprise Edition also offers an additional set of features. These features help organizations create compelling customer experiences and ensure more efficient work processes:
