IJsvogel Retail, originally a family-owned business, specializes in pet and garden products. With well-known brands such as Pets Place and Boerenbond, and a network of over 195 stores, the company is committed to a strong omnichannel strategy.

IJsvogel Retail is preparing to take a significant leap in managing its product information. XSARUS will implement Contentserv PIM, a new PIM system designed to support the company's future strategy. Managing 100,000 products, 1,800 brands, and over 800 suppliers, this advanced system is the perfect fit for IJsvogel’s ambitions.

Why IJsvogel chose Contentserv

The number of marketplaces where IJsvogel is active is rapidly increasing, raising the demand for comprehensive and high-quality product information. At the same time, IJsvogel is optimizing its Pets Place Premium loyalty program, making accurate product data even more essential. Contentserv will enable this transformation.

Contentserv’s extensive integration capabilities are a key factor for IJsvogel. The company works with multiple supplier portals, internal systems, and GS1 GDSN, a standardized data exchange network widely used in the Dutch pet and garden industry. IJsvogel Retail is working closely with GS1 to elevate product data quality across all channels.

A single data source and faster time-to-market

The new Contentserv PIM system will solve key challenges in IJsvogel’s current workflow. Currently, product data for physical stores is still manually stored in Excel sheets, making it prone to errors. The new PIM system will serve as a single source of truth, eliminating inefficiencies.

Additionally, time-to-market will be significantly reduced. By standardizing and automating data processes, new products will be published across sales channels much faster. The supplier onboarding process will also improve, ensuring faster and more accurate product data entry into the PIM system—further accelerating time-to-market.
