The challenge of Trust International

As with many other organisations, Trust International used a large number of different systems that operated independently of each other. As a result, various employees and teams were storing and managing product information and digital assets at their own discretion, leading to data silos across the organisation. Consequently, there was no complete overview of all available product information and associated assets. The quality and completeness of the data could not be checked, increasing the likelihood of errors and causing delays in publications.

Trust International wanted a solution to efficiently manage product data. A solution that could be used both within the organisation and for syndication with retailers worldwide. After careful consideration, Trust International chose the Contentserv Product Experience Platform to enable high-quality product information and faster time-to-market.

The requirements

To have Contentserv's solution live as soon as possible, an Agile approach was adopted for the implementation, consisting of two phases. Phase one included the realisation of a limited number of, but very important, functionalities to create a minimum viable product plus a very extensive testing process.

Phase two focused on rolling out a download portal, making all product data internationally available for Sales, Marketing, Backoffice, and other departments.

Meanwhile, there was also a challenge regarding the renewal of the IT landscape, updating various systems and associated work processes, and optimising data flows. All with an important goal in mind: establishing a future-proof organisation.

Implementation of Contentserv SaaS

In phase one, the Contentserv SaaS solution was implemented to gather all commercial product data in a single central location. This enabled Trust International to rapidly publish updates on its own website. Phase two focused on making all data available to the entire international organisation through a 'download portal'. This ensures consistent data across the entire Trust International organisation, from marketing campaigns to customer service and e-commerce content. All data is sourced from one central source.

The workflow for newly developed products has been completely revised, providing insight into all stages of product development, from initial design to publication. All data for each stage is stored in Contentserv and made visible via a product dashboard, accessible to every user. Before Contentserv was adopted, there was no system in place to track and record products during development. Thanks to Contentserv, all products are now recorded and associated data is centrally collected, enabling Trust International to closely monitor product development. By registering products in Contentserv during the concept phase, it is no longer necessary to manually transfer data from one system to another.

Once the specifications have been entered, the marketing team can begin adding commercial texts and related documents and images. This can then be directly shared with various translation agencies, achieving greater efficiency and faster time-to-market without unnecessary manual cutting and pasting.

Instead of spending days searching for and collecting the right product information in different systems, Trust International can now download and send the correct version of the data to, for example, online retailers at the press of a button.

Result

In just two months, Trust International successfully structured and migrated the existing product data, linked and published digital assets to its own webshop. Following the success of phase one, phase two was also completed within a few months.

By working with a single system, Trust International is able to enforce product truth from a central source. Currently, over 150 employees from various departments, including product development, R&D, marketing, translation, and sales, use Contentserv to access the same source of product information and related digital assets.

By speeding up product introductions, Trust has significantly improved its time-to-market. Furthermore, they can now publish accurate, complete, and up-to-date product data, generate language-specific information, and make their digital assets available internationally.
