Why does BARTS need a PIM?
BARTS aims to streamline its product information management process and has therefore decided to implement a PIM system. The goal is to enrich product data in a structured way and ensure that all sales channels automatically receive the correct information. Without a PIM system, businesses — including BARTS — often struggle with a lack of workflow efficiency, limited options for data standardization and validation, and excessive manual tasks.
Inriver: the single source-of-truth for product information
BARTS has chosen Inriver PIM as its single source of truth. This solution will help BARTS acquire, enrich, and publish product information. The basic product data from BARTS' PDM system will be supplemented with available product data from the ERP system. This data will soon come together in the Inriver PIM system, where it can be efficiently enhanced using completeness scores that provide insight into the status. Within this environment, XSARUS will set up a custom data model and multi-language functionalities. Once the product information has been enriched, it will be ready to be published to BARTS’ e-commerce platform and other sales channels. XSARUS will ensure these connections.
With the arrival of the PIM system, BARTS will be able to keep product information up to date more easily and exchange data more efficiently. By managing roles and permissions and reducing the number of manual actions, the data will be less prone to errors.
